Gravity wins VFX Oscar

Following on from its recent BAFTA and VES award wins Framestore has been honoured once again for work on Alfonso Cuarón’s space thriller, Gravity. Framestore’s VFX supervisor Tim Webber collected the award alongside CG supervisor Chris Lawrence, animation supervisor David Shirk and special effects supervisor Neil Corbould. The Film picked up a total of seven awards at the event – including Best Director for Alfonso Cuarón. The win marks the second time the company has won an Oscar adding to the previous win in 2008 for The Golden Compass.
