Tugboat Tokyo has launched a new campaign for beverage Pepsi Nex Zero based on the theme of 'challenge' and inspired by a story about a boy born from a peach in Japanese folklore.

The commercial is the first of a series that will run throughout the year and sees the hero character, Momotaro (The Peach Boy), befriend a group of villagers - dog, monkey and pheasant - whose existence has been threatened by an island of ogres.

Adorned in extravagant costume and dress, the resiliant tribe decide to fight back by embarking on a boat trip heading for the dangerous shores of their enemy. The second installment is set for May 2014.
