Organisers of the 61st Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity have announced that this year’s shortlist will move to a new digital format with Microsoft acting as its technology innovation partner.

During festival week, while the juries judge the work, exhibitions of the shortlisted and winning entries will go on display inside the Palais des Festivals for delegates to view. The shortlist, exhibition boards and product showcases for the Direct, Promo & Activation, Media, PR, Design, Product Design and Mobile Lions categories will be displayed on Microsoft tablets and phones running Microsoft Windows 8.1 showcasing the company’s latest software.
