Ahhhh Bisto! Every Englishman knows that there's nothing like a touch of gravy to make a Sunday lunch.

But imagine not being able to share and enjoy the popular English pastime due to loneliness and old age.

Bisto has partnered up with charity Contact the Elderly to launch Spare Chair Sunday as part of its Bisto Together project.

Created by McCann London, a series of ads brings various real-life families together to share their end-of-the-week meal with an elderly person.

Since the campaign’s launch in September, almost 900 people have got involved to reverse the fact that a third of people over the age of 70 in the UK eat alone every day.

Helmed by , the latest ad in the series (below) follows the Walker family who welcome 93-year-old Connie to their table.

The aim of the campaign is to bring people together, despite cultural barriers. Other ads in the series have reunited old friends, distant relatives and even lovers, separated by a rowing adventure.
