Would you recognise your favourite movie quotes if they were re-enacted back to you, with the truth, rawness and emotion that they were originally spoken with?

Independent cinema group Curzon Cinemas has unveiled its most impactful and hard-hitting work yet – a self-promotional plea to save its Soho-branch.

Currently at risk of being knocked down – because of TfL’s proposed railway expansions, known as Crossrail 2 – Curzon Soho continues its fight for survival and has amassed almost 30,000 supporters, including high-profile TV personalities Stephen Fry and Benedict Cumberbatch.

Stephen Fry is chairman of the Save Soho Group and appeared on BBC news last year to raise awareness of the beloved Curzon cinema.

Thanks to independent filmmakers Ragged Crow and director Ed Edwards – who was selected after winning the Save Curzon Soho Film Treatment competition – the 90-second-long spot stars various Curzon staff members, customers and supporters, all of whom engage in a spot of acting to make Curzon Soho’s petition public.
