They say you should never meet your heroes, and this animated short for progressive urban music site, Okayplayer, covers one such encounter.
Animated by Hectah the amusing film follows the American percussionist, multi-instrumentalist, DJ, music journalist and producer Questlove's New Year's Eve one year as he gets tasked to throw a party for cultural icon Prince. Things don't exactly go according to plan for the storyteller as he proves, more than ever, that the truth is stranger than fiction.
Narrated by Questlove, the above film was preceeded by Questlove vs. Patti LaBelle (below) which follows the determined producer’s quest to get hold of some of Patti LaBelle's famed soul food.
