Organisers of the 2016 AICE awards have announced changes to the award programme including the introduction of a new category and redefining several existing categories.
Joining the post production premier competition will be the Docu-Style award. The new award will honour documentary-style and reality-based work, particularly focusing on the editor’s ability to shape the story’s narrative.
The Awards Committee has also redefined the competition’s approach to running work outside traditional media channels on broadcast, satellite or cable television. The two former categories that made up Alternative Media – comprised of the ‘90 Seconds or Under’ and ‘Over 90 Seconds’ categories – now fall under the new group, Digital Content.
In addition, the competition has put a cap of five minutes on all entries, except for music video entries. For further details, visit AICE Awards.
