Commercial and long form director Matt Smukler has signed to Robber’s Dog.
Having helmed work for the likes of Coca-Cola, Oreo and Reebok, Smukler has proven his ability for storytelling and humour. He started out as an art director, before moving into copywriting at some US agencies including Goodby, Silverstein and Partners. But in 2003, he decided to dedicate himself completely to directing – and has since created award-winning short film, The Hiccup, and commercials that have also toured the festival circuit. He is currently in the process of developing his latest feature I Don’t Cry, which is a documentary about an 18-year-old sport star. Smukler is also signed by Community Films in USA and Sonny London in the UK.
