Reyjavik agency Islenska creates romantic ad for Icelandair, directed by Runar Ingi through Pegasus Iceland.

If there's one thing that really galls a singleton, it's the profusion of soppy, lovey-dovey, romance-themed media that sloshes around with the Baileys and mince pies at Christmas and can make it a season of biliousness and bitterness, rather than merriment.

But here at shots we love a bit of slush. And this sweet spot from a cold country warmed our cockles up nicely. A tale of an Icelandair flight reuniting two love-bunnies who’d been set to be tragically separated at Christmas, it’s told through the eyes of a poor lovelorn lad, with moments of gentle humour where he weeps while playing gooseberry to a cuddling couple on a sofa and wells up at the site of one of those ubiquitous cappuccino foam hearts.
