Become a shots Rising Star

Are you 30 or under? Are you based on the west coast of America? Are you really bloody good at your job? If the answer to all these questions is a resounding ‘yes!’, then you’re eligible for our shots Rising Stars showcase.

shots Rising Stars will shine a light on a mixture of young creative talents working in advertising and bring them to the attention of the global industry.

We’re starting our search by scouring the US west coast and whether you work in an agency, a production company, a post, editing or sound house or if you’re a freelancer, as long as you work within the creative advertising industry on the west coast of America, you could be garlanded at our inaugural event.

How to Enter

The shots editorial staff will be researching potential candidates who fit the creative bill, but nominations - from either the prospective Rising Star (don’t be shy!) or from their friends and colleagues - are also welcomed.

Nominations are completely free and should include reasons for entering that person, information on their career history and examples of work they have created or contributed to.

The only criteria is that the nominee be 30 years of age or below on June 30 2016, and that they currently live and work on the US west coast. All nominations must be received by June 30 2016.

Entries should be emailed to risingstars@shots.net with the nominee's name in the subject heading, and for more information about the event please contact Luke Heywood. 

The Event

Supported by Audio Network and Twenty Four Seven Productions, the Rising Stars event will be held in Los Angeles in September, with the exact date and venue to be announced soon.

Plus, the chosen stars will also be profiled in the accompanying Rising Stars supplement which will be launched at the event as well as distributed with issue 167 of shots magazine.
