TBWAChiatDay Los Angeles has announced the promotion of executive creative director Renato Fernandez to the role of chief creative officer. As a six-year veteran of the agency, Fernandez will assume the position previously held by Brent Anderson, who has become CCO of TBWAMedia Arts Lab. Fernandez joined TBWAChiatDay as associate creative director in 2011, when he relocated from Brazil to Los Angeles. He began his advertising career in 1994 in his hometown of Curitiba, Brazil, before joining Almap/BBDO to work on top-tier brands including Volkswagen, Gatorade and Havaianas. Throughout his career, his work has been recognised by all the major international creative festivals and award shows, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, Clios, Clio Sports and the One Show.
