You know that one person at work who always says no to every idea? You know, the one with a giant plastic head or the LED face? Publicis New York explores the plight of this person in a new spot for Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE).

In this campaign, called Yeasayers and comprising spots No Bot and No Bob, directed by Wayne McClammy of Hungry Man, Publicis find a novel way to represent a typical office problem. In both spots, technology officers are forced to say no to every suggestion due to the out-of-date tech available to them in their company.

In the first of the spots, this naysayer is turned into 'Brian', a giant bobblehead who can only shake his head at every suggestion. In the second, we have a robot who shakes its head and turns red with every idea:

Luckily, with the power of HPE tech, these two figures are able to finally say yes, transforming them back into their human forms.

With the action of shaking your head a language-transcending symbol of saying no, the ads will jun across the US, UK, Germany, France and Japan, with digital work appearing in an additional 14 countries.

"What is really exciting for us, as their agency partner," said Publicis NY CCO Andy Bird, "is how HPE is transforming the way they advertise, putting the customer at the center and speaking to true business obstacles in a relatable, honest voice. The Yeasayers work cuts to the heart of a real pain point with candor, and just the right dose of humor”.
