Photo agency Getty Images has revealed its Creative Bursary scheme, offering $40,000 to up-and-coming photographers.

Bursaries with a total of $10,000 will be awarded quarterly to three budding photographers as a way of supporting new photographic talent. And $40,000 will be up for grabs to 12 snappers over the course of the year.

The idea behind the project is to give new photographers greater exposure into the industry, as their entries will be judged by a panel made up of Getty Images’ senior VP, creative content, Andy Saunders; Flak Photo photographer/publisher Andy Adams; Moodboard Zine founder Jeanie Annan-Lewin; Diversify Photo co-founders Andrea Wise and Brent Lewis.

To enter, creatives must be under 30 (or with less than three years working as a professional photographer) and they should send in their ideas accompanied by a project proposal and visual brief.

The first bursary will be available from December, so interested photographers should click here to enter or find out more. Best of luck!
