Eurobest 2017 Winners Announced
adam&eveDDB win big as the annual awards closes with a ceremony celebrating some of the best work from the last 12 months.
Yesterday [Thursday November 30] was the final day of the 2017 eurobest festival. Held in London's Bloomsbury, the event saw three days of talks, seminars and workshops with Thursday evening's annual prize-giving ceremony bringing the event to a celebratory close.
Of the 21 separate categories, some of the big winners on the night included DDB Paris whose campaign for the Ubisoft game Ghost Recon Wildlands picked up a Grand Prix and a gold in the Digital Craft category. Called A World With No Heroes, the campaign [below] is essentially a documentary about a virtual gaming world 'filmed' before the arrival of the game's players. It also picked up a gold in Interactive, a silver in Film and two bronzes in Entertainment.
adam&eveDDB London added to their already bulging trophy cabinet with a Grand Prix in the Film category for last year's Christmas campaign for John Lewis, Buster the Boxer as well as -among other awards - bronzes for VW Alien and Skittles Romance respectively. They also collected a bronze for Waitrose Coming Home in the Film Craft category and a further gold for Buster the Boxer in Integrated. The company was also named as Agency of the Year with ECD Richard Brim [pictured top left with Jose Papa, managing director of Cannes Lions] picking up the award.
It was &Co Copenhagen that triumphed in Entertainment by picking up the Grand Prix and a gold for it's TV2 campaign, All That We Share [below], which has picked up a number of prizes this year, including a recent shots Award.
As well as adam&eve's Agency of the Year accolade, the Special Awards included Grabarz & Partners Hamburg being crowned Independent Agency of the Year and DDB Worldwide named as Network of the Year while the Grand Prix for Good went to Akestam Holst Stockholm/Great Works Stockholm for The Humanium Metal Initiative for IM.
