MPC New York boosts its creative talent
Studio raises its talent firepower by promoting Ashley Bernes to CD and bringing in Amsterdam’s Dirk Riesenfeld as VFX Supervisor.
Ashley Bernes, (left) has been promoted to creative director from VFX/CG Supervisor, while Dirk Riesenfeld, a senior effects artist, has relocated from MPC Amsterdam to join the New York studio as 2D VFX Supervisor.
Bernes has been with the company for 12 years, starting out in London in 2006 and helping to open up the New York office in 2011. He’s worked on some of the studio’s most high-profile projects, including the Samsung Billion Colors spot, Tiffany’s Believe in Dreams and Sony’s Paint.
Riesenfeld joined MPC London in 2015 and later moved to its Amsterdam studio. He’s worked on projects for brands such as Nescafé, Pepsi and Mercedes-Benz, with career highlights including Heineken’s 2017 Trailblazing spot and Milka’s All for One. Prior to joining MPC he was an effects artist at the post-production company The Marmalade Post.
