Be warned, this alarming film maybe safe for work but it’s definitely not safe for maternity wards or ante-natal classes. Created by Mike Diva, through Los Angeles prodution company Lord Danger, the bizarre baby-bashing PreBirth was made for US TV series Off the Air – an anthology of work that tends to take a walk on the weird side.

Lord Danger describes itself as “hell-bent on curating the heavenly absurd”, while musician, promo director and YouTube star Mike Diva is known for his otherworldly, boundary-pushing work.

Each episode of Off The Air follows a format of strange images that transform into something dark, then into calmness. All are loosely based on a theme – in this case it's sound. Prepare for the sound of babies giggling as their animated avatars are bashed about something terrible by hooded aliens in the middle of a desert. As that poor loon Trump might say, “it’s nasty”, but it's also slightly brilliant.

Off The Air was devised by Dave Hughes, former editor of series such as Beavis and Butt-head and Celebrity Deathmatch. It's broadcast on Adult Swim, the adult-oriented nighttime programming of the Cartoon Network.
