Multi-award winning director and photographer Josh Cole has signed to Kode and has returned to directing after some time out.
Having broken into the music video scene in 2011, Cole quickly became known for directing emotionally arresting music videos for Chase & Status, Louis M^ttrs and most famously Rudimental's Not Giving In, for which he was awarded Saatchi New Director and a UK Music Video Award.
In addition to travelling the world telling stories through music videos, Cole has shot stills campaigns for Levi’s, Nike, Ballentine’s, Lucozade and Vodafone and directed TV commercials and content for BBC Asian Network, Coca-Cola, Starbucks, Bacardi and Rexona.
In 2014 Josh took a well-needed break from directing and discovered his love for tai-chi, swapped booze for tea, and in 2017 developed and ran a ground-breaking political campaign, 'Rize Up', which was partly instrumental in the greatly increased youth turnout in the last general election.
In 2018 he went on to develop a series of Party Political Broadcasts for Labour - the first to feature no politicians, just real people talking street politics. Cole has also dedicated much of the last few years to writing and developing a number of projects including his first feature. "We’ve been fans of Josh’s work for years, so we’re pleased to see him back with a new lease of life and a hunger to collaborate and create," said Alex Harman, CEO at Kode. "We’re looking forward to working with Josh and are delighted to welcome him into our family.”
