After a year filled with Zoom calls and virtual hangouts, it's nice to celebrate the tangible quality of mail.
Developed by The&Partnership and directed by Untitled Films’ Ivan Grbovic, Street of Joy's amiable whimsy kicks in from the get-go, as a Canada Post mail carrier goes about his rounds, only to be serenaded by singing mailboxes expressing their joy at receiving actual packages and letters.
With a lovely hummable song—provided by Montreal indie musicians Amy Millan and Evan Cranley - and some lovely post-work (pun firmly intended), this joy-filled ditty gets our stamp of approval.
