This Mother's Day, digital sports, entertainment, and gaming company DraftKings is giving credit where credit is due, with VaynerMedia, and finally calling out that athletic talent, ability, and drive oftentimes comes from Mom, though that's rarely acknowledged.
Produced by Eva Nodisam Productions and featuring Guinness World Record Holder, basketball player, and coach Jenna Bandy, this creative was developed in partnership with VaynerMedia and parodies the typical “Thanks, Mom” spots often released in conjunction with the holiday.
Flipping the tired stereotype on its head, the spot includes all gendered athletes thanking their moms, for their height, grip, flexibility, pliability, arm strength, hand-eye coordination, and more.
As an additional supplement and to further amplify the message, DraftKings will also provide downloadable e-cards users can share with their own moms.
