Director Dan Massie and Electric Light Studios have started a YouTube channel called RAW:T to shine a light and give an online boost to talented people and interesting places from across the globe.
A mixture of performances and artist profile mini documentaries, the first film from the YouTube series has just gone live and is focusing on Ayoub Rasta Gnawi from Morocco. A rising star in the Gnawa scene, one of the traditional music Ayoub has dedicated his life to playing the guembri, a primeaval bass guitar made from wood and camel skin.
