Director Kari Skogland Signs with FRANK

Director Kari Skogland returns to the commercials scene in Canada with FRANK.

She's back.  FRANK, the Canadian production company that's based in Toronto, has announced the signing of Director Kari Skogland for representation in the Canadian market.

Skogland was an integral part of the Canadian commercial industry, having won numerous awards from all of the industry's top shows for her commercial work.  For the past few years she has focused on entertainment, directing the critically acclaimed features "50 Dead Men Walking" and "The Stone Angel."

Skogland has relocated back to Toronto, according to FRANK EP Danielle Kappy. "She's very excited about getting back into the commercial world while she continues to direct long form projects," Kappy says.  "Kari is a passionate director with an uncanny ability to tell a story."

Named a director to watch by The Hollywood Reporter, Skogland's feature debut came in 2002 as writer/director of the film "Liberty Stands Still."  In addition to her feature work, her direction for television started with the multi-award winning series "Traders." Her other films include "The Size of Watermelons" and "Men With Guns."
