Created in-house by Humedica and directed by Alexander Ronsdorf, this short documentary film follows a conversation with Fayad, a 50-year-old Syrian refugee, highlighting the stark reality of thousands still living a life displaced by war.
Fayad explains that he and his family fled their home in Syria when war broke out in 2011, and have been living in a refugee community in Lebanon, built from provisional tents ever since. He ponders the concept of what makes a home, and how it affects our sense of identity. "No home, no life", he says.
The documentary is interspersed with a moving montage of photographs from the camps and footage from the war that destroyed his homeland.
With no home, education or employment, Fayad his family are living lives frozen in time. Humedica aims to raise awareness and to provide people like Fayad with the resources to rebuild their lives.
