Icelandair’s destination procrastination

Created by Pablo London and directed by Sam Hibbard through Somesuch, this charming Icelandair spot follows the story of Oliver, a passenger who decides to linger longer while en route to Paris. 

The film reveals an eclectic mix of locals in a variety of stunning Icelandic locations who are all engaged in the search for Oliver, occasioning some amusing scenarios steeped in eccentricity. When Oliver is eventually located, he is awestruck by the country’s magnificence and is unwilling to resume his onward journey.

Icelandair's stopover deal allows travellers to pause in the country for a couple of days on their way between European and North American destinations, for the same price as booking a fare with a short transfer at the international airport. It's been growing in popularity over the last few years as the country's unusual charms have become known.
