Merman Films signs Anton Corbijn
The film company welcomes Dutch photographer, music video and feature film director to their team.
Merman has just signed polymath creative Anton Corbijn onto their ship.
Corbijn worked as the main photographer of NME magazine until 1985. He has since published a good 20 photography books as well as direct over 80 music videos for musicians including Nirvana, Johnny Cash, U2, Coldplay and Depeche Mode. His feature film projects include the highly coveted Ian Curtis Biopic, Control (2007), The American (2010) starring George Clooney, A Most Wanted Man (2014) with the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Life (2015) starring Robert Pattinson and Dane DeHaan.
In 2015, Corbijn made his Commercial directorial debut, photographing luxury brands, car companies and several photography features for Vogue (USA)
At the moment he is working on several books and shows, as well as films with Depeche Mode and U2.
