Newly Launched Integrated Studio Modus Operandi is Off and Running

Integrated studio Modus Operandi, headquartered in L.A., has hit the ground running this fall as a creative digital partner for Wieden + Kennedy, DraftFCB and EA Sports.
Founded by Steve Schofield, Jeff Suhy, Aaron Sternlicht, Miles Dinsmoor and Brian Kingston, the studio specializes in creating branding solutions on emerging technologies in the mobile, rich media and advertising sectors.
"There is an incredible proliferation of devices out there today but brands don't yet understand the potential of digital," says Suhy. "Never has there been so much opportunity to re-imagine and reinvent the business of getting your brand and your product in front of consumers."
Clients so far include Nivea, Capital One, Pillsbury and Nike. These brands and their agencies have tapped MO to create new, interactive branding opportunities. The success on the Nike account has already led to producer Shannon Clune joining Modus Operandi to oversee future work with Wieden + Kennedy.
With recent campaign work for EA Sports also wrapped (most notably trailer duties on SSX and FIFA 12), Modus Operandi is now joining forces with Phluant Mobile, a mobile advertising platform company with innovative technology that creates specific, targeted advertising on all mobile devices.
"The promise of mobile advertising has finally arrived," says Dinsmoor on the relationship. "It's taking advantage of Phluant's capacity to create personalized, intimate experiences that are immediate, and geo-targeted; we're talking about dynamically fed content for each individual user, strategically targeted advertising that is pioneering mobile content and opening up a new era in advertising."
Modus Operandi currently has facilities located in Los Angeles, Portland and Panama City, Panama, with up to 80 staff members on hand at any given time.
"We own your problem," says Sternlicht about the company's ability to tap its network efficiencies. "We are here to provide a holistic approach to advertising. We conceptualize, create, and strategize, then use our production infrastructure to develop content using new and emerging digital technologies."
Schofield is jazzed by the industry support Modus Operandi has received since opening:
"It's great to see how quickly we've been embraced and how rapidly the digital landscape is evolving," he says. "It's a whole new ball game, a new era of communication where brands aren't completely sure how to market themselves. We're here to help design solutions and to market the message in new, immersive, and interactive media."
