We don't know who you are, but whoever came up with the concept of Farmer Christmas at Publicis•Poke, stand up and take a bow.
It's a simple play on words, but with it comes an exciting mine of playful opportunities for the season, as Morrisons clearly realise in bringing the character back for a second harvest.
Following FC as he travels across his fields on a tractor to his festive workshop, we see Morrisons ‘elves’ hard at work preparing festive dishes: puff pastry mince pies in “magic ovens” (or normal ovens, as the baker clarifies), a fishmonger showing off smoked Scottish salmon, and a butcher who passes Farmer Christmas a traditionally glazed gammon joint, which he describes as being “like a big edible Christmas present”.
Charming and simple, with enough tasty food shots to get audiences drooling, this disarmingly stirring spot from Moxie Pictures' Frank Todaro plants just the right amount of festive cheer.
