In collaboration with Leo Burnett Vietnam, the new OMO MATIC campaign is both playful and deeply meaningful, reimagining nostalgia in a way that feels fresh, spirited, and culturally authentic.

Brought to life under the vision of director Noah Conopask, the film balances authenticity with imagination, blending memory and modernity in every frame.

We’re taking it back to the ’90s with this commercial film. Back then, the neighbourhood kings and queens of playful mischief, the flip-flop toss champions and the masters of ball tricks, were none other than today’s parents.

Fast forward to 2025, and their little ones now inherit that same fearless play-on spirit, throwing themselves into games with unstoppable energy. Instead of scolding when messes happen, parents dive right in, rolling in the dirt, laughing, and playing alongside their kids. The story bursts to life with a joyful montage where two generations meet in one shared spirit of fun.

"Beyond the laughter, the project stands out as a heartfelt exploration of nostalgia, evocative yet never outdated. Together with Conopask and our art director, we immersed ourselves in the textures, colours, and rhythms of 1990s Vietnam, ensuring that every frame carried both truth and resonance."

Set in an old apartment complex in Ho Chi Minh City, the film’s backdrop evokes the era’s unique charm. Every detail was carefully researched and reconstructed: hand-painted signage, street vendor pushcarts, even a humble wire chicken coop. These are not just props, but touchstones, small but powerful triggers of childhood memory.

The result is more than a story about carefree play. It’s a celebration of family bonds, shared joy, and the timeless spirit of community. With OMO, PPlay With Style, because stains may wash away, but memories remain forever.
