Shirou and Moco, two iconic characters of the Free Fire license, take on a Bonnie & Clyde vibe in this modern and post-apocalyptic road trip set among deserted roads and abandoned buildings.

To The Max is above all a story of ‘firsts’.

For the first time, Garena uses the explosive beats of rappers Joznez and Nyemiah Supreme to promote the new version of their game Free Fire Max. It’s also the first collaboration between these two complementary directors Jack Antoine Charlot and Valère Amirault who brilliantly succeed in taking on this challenge!

Jack Antoine Charlot, artistic director and image maker, had already aimed high when signing his name to three video clips for the artist S+C+A+R+R, produced in Motion Capture. Valère Amirault placed all of his 3D know-how and talent to create a photo-realistic aesthetic. Charlot and Amirault “each took turns taking on certain aspects of the production, while always being there for the staging and artistic direction".

By playing around with the codes of American rap, our fantastic pair instilled a singular vision to the direction of this campaign. Their main objective was to push the mocap technique to create a “live” rendering and “camera-on-shoulder” effect of a real video. For Valère, “there was a certain artistic challenge to successfully maintain the spontaneous and impulsive effect of a live clip".

Together with Passion Paris, they both extend their warm thanks to Kombbo, the 3D studio associated with Passion Paris, for their investment/commitment, and their experimentation with new animation techniques for this project. The production team also applauds dancers and choreographers Nicolas Huchard and Audjyan for their performance and interpretation of Shirou and Moco.
