Copenhagen-based production company Plotworks welcome an entirely new roster of directors, while introducing a more community-based approach to working with briefs.
Directors Casper Christensen, Christian Lyngbye, Anders Morgenthaler, Christian Bagger, Toke Blicher Møller, Nikolaj Storgaard and Tobias Kampmann joins Plotworks for commercial representation.
Casper Christensen: "The unexpected in a story sticks with the viewer afterward. I find that extremely interesting, and throughout my career, I've increasingly delved into directing. It's an aspect of my work that I really want to pursue more. I truly enjoy working with creative individuals, elevating timing and nuances, it's in the details, and that's where the fun happens. I'm really excited to join Plotworks and work closely to bring creativity to life."
Stig Lauritzen, Creative Producer, adds: "It's really important for us to have directors who are committed and relevant. That they have a unique voice, and that we can provide them with the arena to unfold. Whether you look at Christian Bagger's work with actors, Anders Morgenthaler's approach to creativity, or Toke Blicher Møller's style, it truly shows that they can elevate the given brief and create entirely unique films”.
"Here, each director has the opportunity to draw on the collective expertise of other directors and produce within the Plotworks team, which promotes a fresh perspective on the films they're involved in. We want to establish a culture where 2 + 2 = 5, with a constant focus on creating the absolute best films!" adds Tim Resdal, CEO & Executive Producer.
"And working in this way with some of the most talented directors within their respective areas; Morgenthaler's work on climate change and the ability to capture moments, Bagger's casting and timing, Tokes duality, Lyngbye's aesthetics and storytelling, Tobias' true-to-life narratives, Storgaard's quirky humor, and the addition of Casper Christensen's authenticity and unique timing really bring something extra to the table!", concludes Tim Resdal.
