With everything going on, the NFL season may be one of the first 'normal' experiences that we have as a nation.

As we head into the season, Progressive insurance is launching two campaigns, with Arnold Worldwide, during the 9/10 season opener, that are slated to continue to air throughout the football season.

And with the realities of the continued pandemic, viewers will likely relate to the “at-home” setting of both campaigns.

A new campaign called Sticking Together with Mark & Marcus introduces two new characters into the Progressive universe: Mark and Marcus, the two guys who hold the down markers on the sidelines. Football brings people together, and this year, people need that togetherness more than ever. Within the game itself, the sense of “togetherness” couldn’t be more true than when you see the two iconic officials on the sidelines, each holding up a down marker, tied together by a ten yard chain. The entire game depends on them doing their job the right way, and they’re known for being in sync on the field.

The new campaign gives viewers a glimpse in to just how in sync they are off the field, while they’re at home. So dedicated to their craft, they remain always connected by the chain… which can make showering or parallel parking or just living life a little more challenging.

Returning for a second year is the popular At Home with Baker Mayfield campaign, in which Cleveland Browns quarterback Mayfield and his wife, Emily Wilkinson, go about a series of fairly mundane homeowner activities in their humble abode of... a stadium. A lot has changed since this campaign kicked off in 2019, but the idea of going about daily home life activities – even in a football stadium – carries a lot of cultural relevance this particular season.

In one new spot, Baker endeavors to cover the 'lawn furniture' before a rainstorm… a task that might take a little longer than it does for most homeowners.

Both campaigns – which were produced by Arnold using copious precautions for the safety of talent and crew during the pandemic – continue the comedy style of previous Progressive ads, while also reiterating Progressive as a top choice for homeowner’s insurance.

While life may look different this year, Progressive is here to help its customers protect what matters to them, and the place they call home.
