Full of bright neon lighting and strange shifts in perspective, Solipsism turns a routine grocery stop into a reckoning with identity.
As Fenne Lily walks through a supermarket, the other customers around her seem to disappear, fading into the background as the brands around her reflect her signature haircut and product of choice. A cereal box with a cartoon version of Fenne winks at her, sardines appear with choppy pink bobs, and tomato soup is replaced by banana soup.
Graded and colored by The Mill, Solipsism leans into the weird, with faces scratched onto banana peels and mysterious hallways opening up into the darkness. Tom Clover has created a piece that is fun, trippy, and slightly nostalgic.
