As The One Club for Creativity opens its inboxes for the best work of 2020, they know that maybe the quality of work doesn’t quite match up to the creator’s quality of life.
We pan through a kitchen. A disgusting kitchen. Beyond gross. Moldy whoppers, dishes stacked above the counter, dust in the air. A kitchen that makes you want to die. When a man walks in, looking just as disheveled as his surroundings, and observes the inside of his fridge, well...it’s enough to make your stomach turn.
But the work was good right? That’s all that matters. Lockdown Day Whatever is a relatable premise executed to a gut-churning extreme. Directed by Paul Middleditch and produced by Plaza, the film is literally disgusting enough that I had to look away, Milk & Honey United definitely got to a concept that was as effective as it was clever.
