In this highly stylized, bizarre ad for Tide out of Saatchi & Saatchi, a young boy’s hoodie is far dirtier than it looks.
From dog drool to courtside grudges and even a stint as home plate, Jason Alexander has been through a lot. Or at least his face has. As the teenager goes through his life wearing his prized Jason Alexander hoodie, clever editing and fun animation show off the many disgusted and displeased expressions of the famed comedian, all to the tune of the theme song from The Greatest American Hero, a subtle Seinfeld nod for the fans.
Tide’s expert use of celebrity cameos and consistent sense of humor come together in this spot, directed by Jeff Low and produced by Biscuit Filmworks. The ad was also helped by editorial from Arcade edit and VFX from The Mill.
