From inappropriate drawings to missed busses to mass layoffs, work can be hard.
What Shall I Do is ironic and clever, showing all the different ways that a work environment can be difficult to navigate. With a wonderfully dour backing track, the montage of mundane, sad, and stressful workplace moments feels exceptionally familiar to anyone who’s ever worked in an office.
Directors Erik Warolin and Jesper Ericstam find ways to talk about the not-great-situations at work without being too sentimental. While there are moments of anger, fear, and upset, it‘s not overwhelming; there’s just latent, low-level anxiety throughout the whole piece that is really well done. What Shall I Do was led by agency BBDO Stockholm and produced by Social Club.
