This blisteringly provocative music video directed by Colin Tilley is full of incredible production design, choreography, and funhome visuals.

WAP was created on a stunningly produced set that is trippy, weird, and fantastic, rappers and artists Cardi B and Megan thee Stallion peek in on rooms that are vibrant, tropical, and centered around women. The real effect of this film is not what Cardi and Meg are doing on screen, but how it makes the audience feel. The two women are in total control of their lyrics, bodies, and sexuality, and that makes people uncomfortable, but also calls into question our standards for women and art. WAP is performance, and it should be viewed as a statement.

The work done on set is nothing to shake a stick at. With slick editing, fun sound design, and movement that creates an engaging and wild video, Boy In The Castle didn’t leave anything behind when creating this piece. The art direction alone deserves an entire essay.
