Dove's Campaign for Real Beauty is given a new and unexpected twist in this latest spot from Ogilvy London. Subtle, understated and beautifully shot by director Benito.
The main problem, explains executive creative director Malcolm Poynton, was how to do something appropriate to Dove and that avioded the clichéd lady-putting-on-a-black-dress. "Simple, make it a blind lady putting on a black dress - a lady that went blind as a result of losing her sight through skipping insulin treatment in her teens in an attempt to lose weight. And then find anyone but an advertising director to make it."
