Roger Michell signs to Crossroads Films; Rod Butcher joins Infinity; and more...
Director Roger Michell, well known for his features direction on movies including Enduring Love, The Mother, Notting Hill and Changing Lanes, has signed to Crossroads Films in LA for US commercial representation. The signing comes as a result of Crossroads' ongoing relationship with Cowboy Films in London, which reps Michell in Europe.
Director Rod Butcher has joined the roster at Infinity in London. Butcher moves over from The Annex.
BBH art director Joseph Ernst is moving to the creative department at Wieden + Kennedy in Amsterdam. He will work primarily on Coca-Cola with creative director Don Shelford, as well as on other accounts. "It's a great town and it's a great agency," said Ernst. "The new ECD, Al Moseley, is great and there's tons of opportunities there, it's exciting times." Copywriter Dean Wei, Ernst's partner of three years, will remain at BBH in London.
Editor David Checel has joined Cut + Run in Los Angeles. Checel has edited spots for brands including Nike, Mastercard, Diet Coke and Budweiser, and promos for Eminem, Missy Elliot, the Black Eyed Peas and many more. He was also editor on Bryan Barber's awards-laden music video for Outkast's Hey Ya! and is currently cutting the music sequences for a new Outkast film. Checel will be based in LA but will also be available for projects via the company's New York and London offices.
New York-based postproduction company Homestead Editorial has signed editor Erik Johnson. Johnson was most recently at Crew Cuts in New York.
