Big moves this week as Alain de Pouzilhac leaves the Havas group, Adrian Holmes joins Y&R EMEA, and there are new signings at M-A-D-E, Dog Productions, Academy, Rokkit, and more...

Alain de Pouzilhac, chairmand and chief executive of Havas, has resigned after 30 years with the French advertising group. He will continue to act as a consultant for the group, and Richard Colker, chairman of the Havas audit committee, will lead Havas temporarily while a new chairman is sought.

Adrian Holmes has joined Y&R EMEA as executive creative director for the region. The move signals Holmes's return to adland after leaving his role as chairman and chief creative officer of Lowe in London in February.

"For me, this means going back to the things I enjoy the most and am probably best at: helping to get the work better, ensuring we've got the best creative talent that's out there, and doing what got me into this business in the first place - writing some ads," said Holmes. He will join the company on September 1.

London-based production company M-A-D-E has signed a representation and management deal with Oslo's Motion Blur for certain directors. The move sees Motion Blur directing team Nic & Sune join the rosters of M-A-D-E and its partner company Dog Productions in Paris.

Dog Productions has also signed Thai director Wisit Sasanatieng for commercial representation. Sasanatieng began his career in the industry as an advertising agency art director before joining Bangkok production company Film Factory in 1997. His 2000 feature Tears of the Black Tiger was the first Thai feature invited into competition at Cannes, winning the Un Certain Regard section. He will be repped in the UK by M-A-D-E.

Academy in London has signed director Martin de Thurah for music videos. De Thurah is featured in the latest issue of shots (#89) with his Car Park North video Human.

Rokkit in London has also snapped up another recent contributer to shots - Jaron Albertin. Canadian Albertin featured in issue #85 with his promo 7 Minutes for Soft Citizen.

BeachHouse Films in Santa Monica has signed director Jon Gwyther for US representation. Gwyther recently completed a Shell Oil campaign for JWT London.

Paris-based production company Mr Hyde, which focuses on promoting short film directors to ad creatives and agencies, has signed six new directors to its roster. Work by Olivier Brugnoli, Joerg Daiber, Stefan Nadelman, Carl Stevenson, Joris Clerte, Guilherme Marcondes can be viewed online at http://www.mrhyde.fr. Both Nadelman and Brugnoli feature on the shots New Directors reel, out now.

Features director Doug Liman, fresh from the release of Mr & Mrs Smith, is available again for commercials through Independent Media in the US.

Fredrik Carlstrom has joined Trollback + Company in New York as creative director. He joins creative directors Jakob Trollback and Joe Wright with a remit to explore branded content within the company.

Editor Keith Olwell has joined FilmCore Editorial in New York. He moves to the company from Bug Editorial, where he edited spots for BMW, Royal Caribbean, Cingular and Target, as well as a viral music video for DJ Dangermouse's Grey Album.

Senior producer Ken Wallace and producer Anna Vegezzi have joined Radium, based in San Francisco and Santa Monica.

Gin Godden has joined Draw Pictures in London as directors rep for commercials work.
