London-based HLA welcomes live action and animation director Daniel Cohen to its team. After a stint at Th1ng, Cohen has settled at HLA, and has previously worked on commercials for Hovis, KLM and Amnesty International, amongst others.
Pulse Films in London signs photographer and director Anthony Dickenson. As well as shooting commercials for Nike, Toyota and More Than, he also recently filmed a documentary on street artist JR's work. Dickenson will also remain part of Lo-Def, a collective set up three years ago with Partizan that produces commercials and promos.
Wanda in Paris signs two new directors for French representation; Baker Smith has shot for Nike, Canal+ and Toyota, while Paul Hunter has directed for JC Penney, Nike and VW.
Toronto-based Radke Films adds directing duo Javier & Jorge, formerly known as Illegal Artists, to its roster. Born in Mexico City, the brothers have been directing for the past eight years, and also run their own production company, Distrito Films, in Mexico City
Bandits in Paris welcomes US-born director and photographer Karina Tairato to its roster, for commercial representation in France. Joining from Premiere Heure, Tairto has shot for Nestlé, Toyota, L'Oréal and Nivea among others.
UK-based The Mob Film Company adds new director Chris Gaffey to its roster. Formerly senior art director at Manchester agency BJL, it was Gaffey's work on a Bradford & Bingley campaign while at the agency that caught the production company's eye. He is currently completing his first project for Cheetham Bell JWT.
DraftFCB appoints Michael Simons as chief creative officer of its New York office. Simons was previously ECD and managing director of DraftFCB Sydney, as well as regional creative director for the Asia-Pacific region.
Anderson DDB Health & Lifestyle in Toronto hires Tony Miller as executive creative director. He joins from Smith Roberts Creative Communications, and has worked on campaigns for Mercedes Benz, Sprint, Hershey, Sony, and Coors Light. Miller also has a vast healthcare background, working in marketing for pharmaceutical giants GlaxoSmithKline and AstraZeneca.
Digital studio, Radium, with homes in Santa Monica, San Francisco and Dallas, hires senior editor Peter Tarter. With 16 years editing experience for brands such as Chrysler, GM and AT&T, Tarter joins from Cutters Editorial. Radium's director of editorial Brad Wetmore also returns to LA to work out of the studios new facility in Santa Monica.
Digital post house Drive Thru Editorial, based in Minneapolis, hires Derek Johnson as a Smoke artist. Joining from Crash+Sues, Johnson has worked with agencies such as Fallon and BBDO for brands including FedEx and Target.
