Rokkit has signed director Scott Corbett. The director is known for his surreal, darkly comic style - his most recent work includes the disturbing Colonel Sanders torture campaign for PETA. Corbett was featured as a new director back in shots issue 92.
US director Douglas Keeve has been ushered into the Great Guns fold. The London-based production company will represent him in the UK and Asia. As well as working in commercials and documentary filmmaking, Keeve is a renowned fashion photographer who has shot for clients including Vogue, Macy's and Calvin Klein.
British-born comedy director Sam Cadman is the latest signing to bicoastal/international Station Film. Prior to joining Station Film, Cadman was repped by Tool of North America for work in the US. He continues to be repped by Rogue Films in the UK, where he began his commercials career.
HRA has signed multi award-winning digital animation and design collective, Once Were Farmers, for worldwide commercials representation. Led by Rory Lowe and Will Adams, Once Were Farmers is a Glasgow-based creative collective with seven years experience in title sequences, character animation, visual effects and motion graphics for commercials, broadcast, theatre, clubs and film. They recently created several projects for BBC Scotland, a TV commercial for Your Clear, and an installation for the Wellcome Trust on Euston Road, London, in collaboration with Timorous Beasties.
James Russell has joined Draw Pictures. Russell has been shooting music promos for over 12 years, and has filmed artists such as Arctic Monkeys, The Verve, Scissor Sisters, REM and Wolfmother, to name a few. Draw will be representing him for all promo and video content.
Director Thom Higgins has joined BeachHouse Films, a Santa Monica shop headed by owners/executive producers Patti and David Coulter. The award-winning director has moved into new media projects to compliment his ongoing work in commercials.
New York-based McNamara Film Company has had a facelift. The re-branded production house is now called COLLECTIVE and has signed director Jeremy Warshaw to its roster. Warshaw's career has covered stints at Saatchi & Saatchi and TBWA.
Dean Branham has been made the new CEO of Publicis Malaysia, replacing the outgoing CEO Shukri Rifaie. Branham was previously head of Leo Burnett North China Operations.
Minneapolis-based agency Carmichael Lynch has taken on Doug Spong as managing partner.
Radium has taken on Robert Nederhorst as VFX supervisor at the studio's Santa Monica base. MB Emigh has also joined as VFX supervisor and Inferno and Flame artist. And in related news, Dariush Derakhshani has been promoted from creative director to visual supervisor, head of CG.
Click 3X has hired VFX producer Christine DoRego. She started in the industry as a production coordinator at The Richards Group in 2001, and has freelanced for agencies including Mother and Favorite Color.
London-based production company Rogue has hired Debby Eden to work alongside Philippa Allen in the sales department. Rogue signed three new young directors in 2008 (Henrik Hallgren, Phil Churchward and C4 Creative's Will Clark) and have brought on Eden to promote the growing roster. Eden has previously worked as both an agency producer at Leo Burnett and Rainey Kelly - and as a post production producer at One Post.
Brad Dawson has joined music composition and library service Stephen Arnold Music (SAM) as vice president of sales and marketing.
Munich-based Telcast Media Group has announced a raft of new signings. Tim Meyer-Ricks joins Telcast International as executive producer/senior manager business development; Angelika Stebbings is to be senior sales manager; and Saskia Ewald is responsible for business and legal affairs. In a separate move director of sales and marketing Florian Lormes is promoted to deputy head of new media across the group.
Workhorse Media has announced new sales reps in the Midwest. Doug Stieber, Dawn Ratcliffe and Nichole Tinaglia are based in Chicago and can be reached on 001 (312) 222-9595. The company is also being repped in the East Coast by Jennifer Hertslet, and in the West Coast and Texas by Ellen Knable.
