Honours are even at the head of the shots Production Company ranking list. London’s Stink and Paris’s Wanda both lay claim to 45 points and both had a barnstorming 2010. For Stink, a combination of various Contenders on shots.net (Magners Cricket and Weetabix Happy Breakfast among them), some great Showcase work (IKEA Happy Inside) and some interesting country feature offerings (Honda Jazz Bubbles) culminated in a strong opening score. Wanda’s method of point accumulation pretty much mirrors Stink’s, with great work spread across the site and DVD for clients such as Citroen, AIDES and Canal+.
The UK and the US dominate the rest of the table, with 17 of the 20 listed companies hailing from one of the two countries. Apart from Wanda, the only non-UK/US companies to gatecrash the production company party are Toronto’s Spy Films, which benefited from a strong showing in a recent Canada feature, plus great work for Batelco, and Buenos Aires-based Rebolucion.
