Portal: No Escape

Taking inspiration from the game Portal, Great Guns director Danny T has crafted this fantastic short film which brings to life the possibilites of the game with a physics-defying prison break-out and subsequent chase.

“I like to refer to the film as a ‘representation’ of the game," said Trachtenberg,"set in the same world and retaining the spirit of that universe. Whereas the tone and design of the game is whimsical and humorous, however, I’ve tried to transpose its premise into a world that is more gritty and realistic, whilst still featuring some of the key props from the game. What always fascinated me about Portal is that at its core is a special effect that is as intellectual as it is visceral – a pretty uncommon combination in the world of FX-based movies.”
