Publicis London has appointed Ogilvy & Mather creative director Andy Bird as its new executive creative director. Bird will take charge of the creative department at the agency and will be tasked with further strengthening its creative reputation. As creative director at Ogilvy, he has won awards on the global stage for clients such as American Express, Mattel, Comfort and MTV, and was also behind the highly-acclaimed and much awarded Kick Homophobia out of Football campaign. In 2000, Bird was one of four executives who formed BBH's only breakaway agency, Soul Advertising, quickly winning clients such as Coca-Cola and Nike as well as awards for the GLA One London campaign. The ECD has spent the majority of his career at Bartle Bogle Hegarty, where he became one of the company's youngest ever board members and head of art and design by the age of 27. He also won awards from D&AD and Cannes.
