With Euro 2012 just around the corner, Nike screened its new commercial, with direction from Adam Berg, during the UEFA Champions League Final at the weekend - a three-minute spectacle featuring international football's elite.
Dubbed the 'new wave', aspiring youngsters including Neymar, M'Vila, Götze and Welbeck all appear alongside legends such as Ribéry, Sneijder, Ronaldo and Van der Vaart in the action-packed film created by Wieden + Kennedy and Stink with The Mill London as young stars gatecrash a France vs Holland match. Basketball hero, King LeBron James even manages to make a cameo and the brand also uses the opportunity to showpiece its new Clash Collection boot amongst the on (and off) field chaos.
The campaign also offers a unique interactive aspect, developed by Stinkdigital, which allows users to freeze on their favourite players and search the film for hidden tunnels and aligns with the brand's The Chance scouting contest, currently discussing what it takes to 'make it' with a global search for new talent.
