Lolita Lempicka: The First Scent

BETC have gone beyond traditional advertising conventions with Iconoclast's Yoann Lemoine in this ad for perfume by French designer Lolita Lempicka. Shot in cinemascope and and lasting almost three minutes, they've achieved stunning visuals and created a whimsical forest space where a young and seemingly troubled girl finds solace. The girl is played by the American actress Elle Fanning who is sculpted to look both like a girl and a young woman. Her subtle gestures and direct address of the camera portray the "essence of a first perfume: the awakening of desire" the spot was aiming for. All things considered, the short film seems to be a mild allusion to the designer's novel namesake.
