Leagas Delaney and Academy Films' Seb Edwards set an eerie tone as they introduce their grim character; an assumed relative to the black cloaked Death of ancient lore. The moody atmosphere builds apprehension as the woman proclaims, “I am a crisis and I don’t care who you are.” With their insight of, “A crisis can happen to anyone,” The British Red Cross hope to solidify their essential presence in the daily lives of the public.
This spot stands as a moody spin on Allstate’s Mayhem campaign that landed in Madison Avenue’s Advertising Walk of Fame. Both examples are renditions of tried and true ad characters of the past who personify problems that the product being advertised solves.
