It's Friday, the sun is shining and the weekend beckons - so lighten up with this brilliantly gay music video for New York pop band A Great Big World. The promo is directed by Harpoon Pictures' Rohitash Rao for the Everyone is Gay organisation that supports LGBTQ youth.
“When the band approached me I immediately fell in love with the song,” says Rao. “I interpreted it as a celebration.” He states that he wanted to use paraphernalia from the party store to create the stop-motion piece and utilised streamers, balloons, confetti, coloured paper and other fun props to create every lyric of the song, which was launched during Gay Pride Week 2013.
