Digital agency Smart Cookie (formerly Mediastation) has announced the recruitment of Matt McKinney as head of studio. His most recent credits include CG Supervisor for series five to seven of Doctor Who and he worked with the Merlin team to win a BAFTA for visual effects, as well as awards from the Visual Effects Society. McKinney was also a key player in the Mill TV and Film team for eight and a half years. During that time the team won two BAFTAs, a Royal Television Society award and a Visual Effects Society award. The team has made the BAFTA shortlist for Doctor Who every year since 2007.
