Los Angeles-based full service agency Hawthorne Direct has announced expansion of its media marketing capabilities with the opening of a mobile marketing unit. Along with the new unit the company has hired Jared Lake to oversee the new capabilities as director, digital media. Lake will be based out of the company’s LA headquarters and will report to George Leon, Hawthorne Direct’s senior vice president of media/account management. Prior to joining Hawthorne Direct, Lake had been director, business development, with M&C Saatchi Mobile in Los Angeles.
