Director Björn Rühmann helms this emotional and moving promo-cum-short film for the Herbert Bail Orchestra.
Entitled The Nature of Things, the 12-minute film marks part one of an upcoming trilogy and the first installment tells the story of a man living in a trailer with his dog in the desert until the animal's life is put in danger when protecting him.
Each part of the trilogy was created to explore part of the American psyche and will follow a series of broken characters experiencing alienation and existential despair in a barren landscape over the course of one day.
Produced by Jefferson Projects this piece stars British actor Ritchie Coster and Spike the Dog and was filmed on location at Blayney Ranch in Los Angeles. For more related content keep an eye out for the LA special in shots 155 - out this week.
